Child Survival and DevelopmentDr Tomkins is an expert in the fields of nutrition, HIV and management of severe malnutrition. His research involves Nutrition/Infection interactions with collaborations in Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Kenya and Bangladesh and the impact of different support mechanisms for orphaned children. He is former trustee of UNICEF UK as well as former head of the UCL Centre for International Health and Development and has chaired various committees in the UN.
